Sustainability Environment
We encourage intelligent resource management within our infrastructures and through waste reduction training for our teams. We promote biodiversity in our fenua.
Identify and promote energy
transition opportunities
To ensure optimal energy management and contribute to the fight against climate change, we have installed 362 photovoltaic solar panels and 3200 sq ft of solar water heaters.
Optimize water and
resource management in our hotel
To reduce our consumption and limit our environmental impact, we prefer to install equipment such as mixing valves on our taps and shower
Help restore and protect Polynesia’s
unique biodiversity and ecosystems
To protect our unique environment threatened by climate change, we support several environmental associations, including Te Mana o Te Moana, committed to preserving marine biodiversity and rehabilitating injured turtles with access to our lagoonarium.
Prioritizing the use of products with
low environmental impact
To reduce the use of harmful chemicals, encourage alternative solutions and promote a healthier, more sustainable working environment, we use ozonated water to clean rooms and common areas.
Measuring and reducing food waste
We make our clients and staff aware of the importance of reducing food waste and we transform our organic waste into compost.
Activating and updating the carbon emissions reduction plan
We carried out a carbon assessment to define an action plan with targets to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in six key areas: purchasing, transport, fixed assets, fixed energy, mobile energy, water and waste management.
Investing in the development of carbon offset projects in Polynesia
To help reduce greenhouse gas emissions as set out in the French Polynesia Climate Plan, we encourage and support innovative local carbon offseting projects.
Developing selective sorting
To limit our waste and manage it optimally, we have set up 19 waste sorting lines (glass, cardboard, as well as ink toners or coffee pods), and we work in collaboration with TSP and Fenua Ma, leaders in waste collection in French Polynesia to manage our recyclable waste.
Eliminating single-use plastic
We promote the use of reusable, compostable or biodegradable materials in our operations, such as our wooden amenities, and soon our reusable glass bottles.
