*How much does a taxi cost? Can I book a taxi?
For all journeys between Papeete and the hotel during the day the rate is 1700 cfp (6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m) and 2900 cfp at night for two people. To get to Carrefour rates are 1000 cfp for two people. If you want to go to the airport, rates are 1000 cfp day (6:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m) and 1500 cfp for two people plus 100 cfp per piece luggage. It is easy to call a taxi from the reception desk or concierge. The taxi will not exceed 10 minutes to reach the hotel.

*When is the rainy season? Does it rain every day?
The rainy season is from November to March. During this period, it is hotter and can rain more often.

*How do I get to Papeete? Do you have a shuttle?
-To get into town, it is very easy to take a bus. The stop is located at the entrance of the hotel across the road. We also have a shuttle service that costs 400 cfp per person one way. Please see the concierge.

*How much is the bus? Is it easy to take the bus? Frequency?
-The cost of the trip to go to the hotel in Papeete is 130 cfp during the day and 200 cfp at night.  It takes about 15 minutes to go in town. There is no free transportation in Tahiti.
*How far in advance should we be at the airport before our flight?
-It is preferable if it is a domestic flight to be at the airport one hour prior. For international flights, we suggest three hours prior to your flight.

*Where is the market ?
 The market in downtown Papeete is open from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m from Monday to Saturday and from 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Sundays.

*Is it possible to go into town on foot?
-We suggest that you take the shuttle or taxi as town is about  5miles. Please see the concierge

*Where is the closest supermarket? Is it far and what are the opening hours?
 -The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the Carrefour shopping center. There is a supermarket, post office, a library, an Air Tahiti Office, a pharmacy, hairdresser, bank (no currency exchange), florist and other shops. It is open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 p.m from Monday to Saturday and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.

*Is there an ATM in the hotel?
-In the hotel, we have no ATM. But the reception can provide this service within a limit of 20 000 cfp and a fee of 5%.
*Are there any running routes?
-Our hotel is spread over large grounds and features lovely pathways, bridges,
beaches and a botanical garden. A great place to walk or jog.
*Where can I get snorkeling equipment?
-You will find a snorkeling equipment at the Fare Sport located on the main beach, facing the swimming pool.

*Where can I find stamps?
-You can buy stamps at the boutique.
A mail box is on the left of the reception desk. Our boutique is open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. It’s closed between 12:00 and 1:00 pm.
*Where is the pharmacy ?
-The nearest pharmacy is about 5 km away just before the Tiki Village.
We have some medicines at the front desk that might be of help.

*What is free in the hotel ?
-You are allowed to use kayaks and snorkeling equipment at the Fare sport. The fitness room is free acces with your room key and for the tennis court just ask the concierge.
*Where can we rent bikes?
-Bike rental is available at the concierge.
Please, be careful. The concierge should have a map available for you.

*Can I pay with €? $ ?
-Of course, you can pay in every foreign currency available at the reception.
But be aware that you can not sell CFP before leaving.
*Where is the Petit Village located?
-The Petit Village is about 2 miles to your right, as you exit the hotel property.
We suggest that you take a schuttle or to rent a bike as it takes 30 minutes walking.
*Is there shopping nearby ?
-There are some shops in front of the hotel and at the Petit Village.

*Where is the bank located?
-It’s in the Petit Village about 2 miles from the hotel.
You can change cash at the reception.

*Is the tap water drinkable?
-It’s not recommended because you are not used to the local tap water. Is is recommended that you drink mineral water.
There is mineral water at the bar. Regarding  ice cubes, our ice machines have water filters.

*How can I go to town from the hotel?
-By bus routes
The public transportation on Moorea is provided by buses or by Le Truck, both of which run between the Vaiare dock and Le Petit Village. They operate to coincide with the ferry boat schedule. One services the north coast, the other the south coast so tell the driver your destination
Le Truck stops in front of the hotel, but the timetable can be a bit haphazard. It is safest to ask the Concierge for confirmation of the timetable. The Concierge will be happy to book a
coach transfer.

Other Info
Moorea is accessible by flights from Tahiti International Airport and ferries from Papeete harbour. Flights take seven minutes and are operated by Air Tahiti.
A low-cost shuttle transfers you to the hotel: order this service when you buy your ticket in Tahiti.
Le Moana

*What is the best place to purchase black pearls?
-At the hotel entrance, the Robert Wan’s boutique offers a wide choice of very good quality pearls. There is a show room in Vaitape where you will find a wider selection.

*Are there sharks around the bungalows?
-Don’t worry. The lagoon is very safe all around the bungalows.

*How far is Vaitape?
-About 5 miles, it takes 15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bike. Our shuttle can drive you there every day at 3:00 p.m.. You just need to register at the Front Desk. A round-trip ticket costs 1100 CFP per person.

*Is there anything to visit/see around the hotel?
-At the hotel’s entrance you will find our boutique of souvenirs and the famous public beach of Matira which is a very nice spot to walk around. There are also few shops in the area.

*Can we get DVD’s in our bungalow?
-Yes of course! You will find free DVD’s at the hotel’s boutique.

*How old is the hotel?
-The hotel is one of the first hotels to be built on the island, the third one exactly. It was built in 1987.
*Is there any automatic cash point at the hotel?
- ATMs are located at Vaitape, the main village of Bora Bora. Our shuttle can drive you there upon reservation at 2:45 p.m. every day, except on Sundays.

*Why is everything so expensive over here?
-Because we are isolated. Everything arrives by boat and plane, therefore costs are significant.

*Where is the nearest shop/supermarket?
-You will find our boutique at the entrance of the hotel. There is a supermarket at ten-minutes-walk. Just turn to the right on the main road.

*Where to shop?
-Local Market,
Vaitape, Bora Bora
The local market is where you can find authentic crafts that are handmade by the Tahitian mamas. The mamas are very friendly and love to sing. Only cash is accepted.
-Tiare Market,
Matira, Bora Bora
Small convenience store, located 10 minutes walk from the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort.

*How can I go to Vaitape?
-By shuttle bus
There is no public transportation on Bora Bora, but we organize a “shuttle bus” to downtown Vaitape from the Moana Resort reception, twice daily (morning and afternoon), exclusively for
our InterContinental guests. We could also organize car or bike rental.
Please make reservations with your Concierge.

Your Concierge will be more than happy to organize any taxis you may need to travel around the island of Bora Bora. Also, most of the restaurants on the island organize a free taxi pick up for dinner from the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort. Please ask your Concierge for more details.
*How to go to the other Bora Bora InterContinental Resort?
-A boat shuttle runs between the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana
Resort on the main island, and the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa,
located on a motu (islet). The ride between the 2 resorts is 15 to 20 minutes.
